User Roles: all you need to know

To begin, Phone2 users have three (3) different Workspace Roles:

Owner, Admin, & User


In this guide, we'll explain the different roles of Phone2 users and their permissions within your workspace.


Owner


An Owner can:


  • Use all the texting and calling functions of Phone2.
  • Access all phone numbers (a.k.a. "Teams") within a Workspace.
  • Add & remove phone numbers within the Workspace.
  • Add & remove users within the Workspace.
  • Assign other users as Admins.
  • Manage the billing settings of the Workspace.
  • Rename the Workspace.
  • Change the Voicemail Greeting of the phone numbers (a.k.a. Teams).
  • Have full control over the Contacts of the Workspace (syncing, editing, and deleting contacts).


Admin


An Admin has all the same rights as an Owner, except:


  • Admins cannot manage the billing settings of the Workspace.


Note: There must be at least one (1) Admin or Owner assigned at all times in a Workspace.


User


A User has limited permissions compared to Admins and Owners:


  • Can use all the texting and calling functions of Phone2.
  • Contacts of the Workspace are "View Only."
